The names change. The damage doesn’t.
Thomas Shess is a veteran West Coast editor and journalist; his career began at the San Francisco Examiner before he went on to serve as editor of several inflight/travel magazines. Eventually, he landed as a top editor at San Francisco Magazine and San Diego Magazine. Later, he went on to become an editor of San Diego Home/Garden Magazine and the founder of North Park News, a community monthly devoted to San Diego’s most historic neighborhood. Alongside his journalism, Shess writes fictional works that blend the grit of noir with the tenderness of modern romance. His first novel “Cantina Psalms” maps the hidden corners of San Francisco through mystery and desire, while his new short story collection “Tough Love: Modern Noir Romances” explores the fragile line between passion and consequence. Thomas continues to publish daily arts, literary and culture blogs on PillartoPost.org.
